Who is going to look after you at BLR?
It’s all very well talking about “IT systems” and “current legislation”, “modern accountancy procedures” and “the technological state-of-the-art.” At the end of the day, the work you need carrying out is still going to be done by people. The question you want to examine is can they cut the mustard at BLR? To help you make up your mind, here’s a thumbnail sketch of each of the BLR senior executives.
John Galliers
The Company Managing Director. 20 years in property management. Passed the direct final examinations of the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers in 1992, now part of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors. An expert in the residential property field, John left a senior position in a PLC property company to start the business in 2001 and since then has built up the portfolio to more than 7,000 units.
Sarabjeet Bhoday MBA., AFA, MCIM
Financial Director. Fifteen years in financial control. MBA, University of Westminster. Member of the Institute of Financial accountants. Member of the Chartered Management Institute, formerly Honorary Finance Consultant for the Human Welfare International Charitable Trust. He has already handled the Financial Controls for a company with a turnover in excess of £50 million.
Lorraine Scott BA., LLM
Called to the Bar in 1999. Has always worked in the property sector. Among other areas, deals with Landlord and Tenant matters, service charge disputes, lease extensions, Right to Manage applications and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal matters. She has appeared successfully for our client before both the LVT and Lands Tribunal.
Peter Willcox BA ARLA
Management Controller: BA (Hons) graduate who has since worked in the Residential Property Sector. Has gained in-depth knowledge in Property Marketing and all areas of Residential Management. Came from a Management position for a National Agent handling thousands of properties across the South of England and Wales. He is also skilled in process mapping and systems implementation, enabling all BLR employees to deal with your problems as quickly as possible.
Peter O’Reilly AIRPM
Senior Property Manager: Peter has 8 years experience as a senior property manager supervising a team of 6 experienced colleagues. He is a member of the Institute of Residential Property Management. He has 5 years experience in providing technical support for the maintenance of properties owned by the London Borough of Islington, supervising a team of 10 staff. He has a further 13 years experience as a qualified carpenter and joiner, managing a team of twelve operatives. He also specialises in health and safety matters.
